Toe Kick Installation

We’re going to start with the driver and passenger seat toe kick cover. This part attaches to the bottom rear of the front seats where people place their feet.

This only takes one step, which will take you longer to read this than to install it.

Place the toe kick cover with the long side facing up. It will go along the top of the seat bottom on the felt part. Pull the top taught across the back before sticking the Velcro to the felt.

Next, line up the top of the Velcro just slightly below the felt and press your corners on. Then, slide your hand along the Velcro to seat it. Pull the bottom tight, wrap it under the seat, and press the Velcro in to secure it. Repeat on the opposite side.

Under Seat Installation

The under-seat cover comes in two pieces, a large piece for the driver’s side and a smaller piece for the passenger side.

To attach the cover, line up the front edge of the seat with the Velcro strip and push down to secure it. Stretch the cover so it reaches the back of the seat and press down.

Note: Leave a part of the outboard corner felt exposed so you can attach the seat bottom cover later as shown below.

Rear Bench Installation

Just like the under-seat cover, the rear seat cover comes in two pieces. I found it easiest to install as one piece.

Step 1. Secure Foam Tabs

Installing Canvasback Rear Seat Covers

With the seat cover spread out, insert the tab with a foam cylinder in between the seat bottom and seat back on both the driver and passenger side seats.

Step 2. Stretch & Attach Bottom Portion

Pull the seat cover and attach the Velcro to the bottom of the seat’s felt edge. That’s it for the seat bottom. Now onto the seat back.

Step 3. Raise Headrests & Hang Cover

Begin by raising the headrests to the tallest position. Then, use the nylon straps and buckles to hang the seat back cover from the headrests. Leave these straps loose for the next step.

Step 4. Attach Top & Bottom Portions

First, make sure to disconnect the middle seatbelt buckle on the bottom and place the seat belt over the cover.

Attach the bottom seat cover to the seat back cover using the pre-installed Velcro strips. Secure the Velcro across the entire bottom.

Finally, tighten up the straps around the headrests and lower the headrest to the normal operating position.

Final Thoughts

Canvasback Covers Review

I never thought that I would need seat covers as a single man with no children to make a mess out of the back seat. However, they work great for protecting the back seat from just about anything.

Recently, I put groceries in the back seat, and a gallon of tea tipped over and leaked all over the seat cover. I am so glad I had these installed. As you’ve seen above, I have the grey leather interior and let me tell you, getting tea stains out of anything is best left to a professional. These seat covers saved me from an expensive detailing bill. Let’s be honest, no one wants to sit in a seat that has a brown stain.

If you’re looking for a quick easy and durable way to protect your seats, even if you don’t sit back there, or have children, Canvasback has those unexpected accidents covered.
